Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance regarding DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell, as well as being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
